The Atlanta Creator Check-In Brings Wellness and Mental Health to the Heart of the Creator Economy
Atlanta, GA — The Atlanta creator community gathered at Buckhead Art & Company for the Atlanta Creator Check-In, which served as an evening dedicated to wellness, sustainability, and mental health in the creator economy. Hosted by Creator Tea Talk, Creators for Mental Health (C4MH), and Influential, the event brought together creators, industry professionals, and mental health advocates for an intimate mixer and panel discussion on what it takes to build a sustainable creator career in 2025 and beyond.
The evening opened with light networking, mocktails provided by PROXY Wellness, and a brief introduction to the Creators for Mental Health mission, then followed a guided meditation led by Ebonee Davis, writer, healer, and visual storyteller. Her 10-minute grounding session set the tone for a night centered on reflection and intentional connection.
The panel discussion titled Creator Check-In: Mental Health, Meaning, and Momentum in the Creator Economy, was led by Nefatari Cooper, Creator VIP Relations at Influential, and featured a powerful lineup of voices including, Jayde I. Powell, creator and host of Creator Tea Talk, Shira Lazar, founder of Creators for Mental Health, Roxanne Kaiser, founder & CEO of PROXY Wellness, Shaine Griffin, director ofcontracts and strategic initiatives at SAG-AFTRA, and Ebonee Davis.
Together, the panelists explored how creators can balance their digital presence with emotional well-being, redefine productivity, and prioritize purpose over performance. The conversation was a flow of personal stories about burnout and healing, insights on creator pressure, and tangible strategies for setting boundaries as a creative.
Following the panel, guests were encouraged to mingle for a community hangout, filled with networking and connection, and goodie bags curated for guests, serving as a fitting reminder that sustainability starts with self-care.
The Atlanta Creator Check-In marked a continued commitment by these brands to support creators beyond analytics and to continue creating spaces that center humanity and healing.
