Jayde I. Powell Joins Zoom's First-Ever Zoombassador Creator Cohort

Creatorpreneur and social media strategist Jayde I. Powell has been selected as one of 12 creators to join Zoom's inaugural Zoombassador cohort, a new creator ambassador program designed to spotlight entrepreneurs who are building businesses through content, community, and digital innovation.

The program brings together creators from a range of industries and backgrounds, including fellow Zoombassadors Gabby Beckford, Hannah Zhang, Bashel Lewis, and Shira Lazar. Together, the inaugural cohort represents a growing class of creative entrepreneurs who are turning their expertise, audiences, and personal brands into thriving businesses.

Supporting the business behind the creator

As more creators expand beyond producing content into operating businesses of their own, the tools that support their day-to-day operations are becoming increasingly important. The Zoombassador program aims to support this shift by giving creators access to professional-grade work tools from Zoom and its partners, along with opportunities to share their experiences and stories. Through the program, ambassadors will highlight how they use technology to manage, operate, and grow their businesses. For Powell, whose work spans social media strategy, content creation, education, and community building, the partnership reflects an existing relationship with a platform she has relied on throughout her career.

From meetings and client collaborations to virtual programming, Zoom has remained part of Powell's everyday workflow as a creative entrepreneur. Joining the inaugural Zoombassador cohort creates an opportunity to deepen that relationship while exploring additional ways the platform can support her business.

A partnership built on an existing connection

The announcement follows another significant milestone for Powell: the launch of her first-ever Chronically Online Virtual Social Media Summit, which used Zoom as its official hosting platform.

Held on Social Media Day, June 30, the summit brought together more than 25 marketing professionals from brands including Nordstrom, Forbes, Business Insider, and Sprout Social. With six sessions, a keynote from social media strategist Lia Haberman, and more than 180 registrants, the virtual event created space for conversations about the future of social media careers, mental health, and the evolving creator economy. The summit also demonstrated how independent creators can build and host their own professional experiences, using digital tools to bring communities together at scale.

“When I was planning the Chronically Online Summit, I needed a platform that could handle the full build-out and still give attendees a great experience. Zoom has been part of how I’ve grown my business, from client meetings to planning calls, so it felt like a natural partner. I know they’re committed to helping entrepreneurs like me scale,” says Powell.

Powell's selection as a Zoombassador continues that momentum and lays the foundation for a long-term relationship with Zoom. As the program develops, she will explore new ways to integrate Zoom's tools into her business while sharing her perspective as a creator who understands both the creative and operational demands of entrepreneurship.

For Powell, the opportunity also reflects a broader evolution in creator partnerships. As creators increasingly become founders, educators, strategists, and business owners, collaborations with technology companies can play a meaningful role in helping them build stronger businesses.
