Jayde I. Powell Teams Up with Entrepreneurs at ADCOLOR for Atlanta Personal Branding Workshop
Atlanta, GA — Creatorpreneur Jayde I. Powell recently hosted a local meetup for Atlanta-based creators, marketers, and entrepreneurs titled The Atlanta Creator Briefing: The Personal Brand Playbook. The mixer-style event featured a fireside chat and hands-on workshops focused on one of the most defining forces in today’s marketing landscape: personal branding.
Hosted by Creator Tea Talk in partnership with Entrepreneurs at ADCOLOR, the event brought together a cross-section of Atlanta’s creative and business community for an interactive conversation on how trust is built and sustained in a creator-driven economy. Held at Public School, the evening blended networking, a fireside chat, and a practical workshop designed to move attendees from theory to execution.
At the center of the discussion was a clear takeaway: in an era when audiences are increasingly skeptical of traditional marketing, people are driving connections rather than brands. Research referenced during the conversation underscored that shift, noting that 82% of consumers are more likely to trust a company when its executives are active on social media, while founders and creators with strong personal brands see conversion rates multiply well beyond traditional corporate efforts.
Alongside Neisha Tweed Bell, Community Lead at Entrepreneurs at ADCOLOR, the two marketing professionals explored the difference between having an audience and building a brand, and emphasized that while audiences can be built through visibility, a personal brand requires intention rooted in clarity, consistency, and a distinct point of view.
Jayde and Neisha spoke to the challenge many creators face when balancing multiple roles, and the importance of defining a throughline that ties those experiences together. The conversation also touched on the role of identity in branding, and how creators can show up authentically while still maintaining boundaries.
Beyond the panel, the evening’s most defining moment came during the mini workshop: The Personal Brand Clarity Exercise.
Designed as a fast-paced, peer-driven session, the session guided attendees through a series of prompts to define what they want to be known for, who they aim to serve, and the unique perspective they bring to their content or brand. From there, participants translated those insights into concise, personal brand statements they could immediately apply across platforms such as LinkedIn, media kits, and professional biographies.
The exercise concluded with peer feedback and live group sharing, reinforcing the event’s emphasis on collaboration and real-time learning.
More than just a networking event, the Atlanta Creator Briefing reflected a broader industry shift. As marketing becomes increasingly human-centered, the ability to communicate a clear, credible personal narrative is now foundational to the success of all personal branding as a creative.
By creating space for both conversation and application, the event highlighted a growing truth that in today’s landscape, building a brand people trust starts with the individual behind it.
